Since taking my second attunement in Usui Reiki, i have intermittently completed case studies to see how energy healing can help support people on their well-being journey, looking after themselves better on a day to day basis, and looking at ways to change how they think and react to situations. I wanted to see if Usui Reiki made a difference to peoples lives as a relaxation aid. As it had to my own life.
The areas i have looked at are; people with stress and anxiety, that is making life difficult for them. Those with physical pain, depression, headaches, poor sleep, low mood. I have also recently completed a case study to support women with Fibromyalgia.
How it works

Each person is asked to keep a journal, in this they were to document how they felt before they started the case study. How they felt before each session, during the session and after the sessions. They were asked to document what we had discussed, how the energy healing and conversations had helped them to clear past and present concerns and stresses.
How they had used the training of learning to breath, and put this into practice during their day to day life, and what changes they felt had happened since starting the case study. We looked at how they were sleeping, if it had improved. How their focus was now, compared to before they started the case study. I must say at this point, i make it very clear, that no one should change the medication they are taking during this case study. They should always consult their GP or Doctor first.
We do sit and chat before and after each session and this gives the client a chance to off load how they are feeling, any worries they may be having. It is about giving people time to feel they are being listened to, in a safe place where they are not rushed.
If someone in the case study has a health problem or mental health concerns they are struggling with, I instantly ask them to speak to their GP straight away. I’m not a medical person, Yes, i have been trained to be a mental health first aider, but i know that’s for giving people guidance to services that can support them properly.
You can read testimonials from people who have been for these case studies on the website.
Case Studies have been free up to now, and you do have to attend six one hour sessions. In the future there will be a change to this, and a small fee will be charged but nowhere near the full price. You will also be asked to sign a contract in future.
Future Case Studies – I will advertise these on the website, or my Facebook page or on the Nextdoor App.
